We offer a wide range of high quality of teaching.

Daaris Institute

Daaris Institute is set on the doorsteps of Nizwa Old Souq in a renovated three-story building that overlooks old Nizwa and the breathtaking Al-Hajar Mountains. The institute hosts classrooms that are equipped with air conditioning, Wi-Fi, and modern multimedia devices to allow for a communicative and engaging teaching approach. All our classrooms accommodate up to eight students and there is a larger room for meetings, lectures, and film nights. Lounge areas furnished with spacious seating round off the interior to make our students feel at home.

Daaris Institute Nizwa is built on the Noor Majan Arabic Institute’s decade-long experience in the realm of Arabic teaching to international students in the Sultanate of Oman.

  • International focus – our students come from across the globe

  • Residential courses – we encourage learning and growth

  • People not profits – education is a right not a privilege

ABOUT US

Daaris Institute Nizwa is built on the Noor Majan Arabic Institute’s decade-long experience in the realm of Arabic teaching to international students in the Sultanate of Oman. Daaris seeks to offer a new learning experience to more independent and intrepid students. We are committed to providing quality, intensive Arabic education for students who are looking for true immersion in one of the most authentic corners of the Arab Gulf region.

Nizwa is a touristic hotspot but has preserved its sense of self as the heartland of Omani culture and heritage. With many historic, cultural, and geographic sites on your doorsteps or nearby, Nizwa provides a unique vantage point to explore Omani and Gulf culture, immerse yourself in Arabic outside of the classroom, and experience Oman alongside locals.

Our academic program is rigorous and follows our strategy of a communicative, student-centered approach with Arabic as the language of instruction. While challenging at first, this has proven to allow for tangible language gains in a short period of time. Our experienced and qualified teachers meet our students where they are on their language learning journey and adapt their teaching strategies and pace themselves to students’ needs. We follow the ACTFL proficiency levels with our students completing one sublevel every four weeks. The daily schedule covers four full hours of instruction using a mixture of different textbooks, complementing teaching resources, and authentic excerpts from Arabic print and broadcast media. Complementary materials will be provided in class. Students of all levels and backgrounds are welcome and will be placed based on their performance on our placement test.
